Been a while

I haven't been able to get into my blog for a while. Tried this morning and it worked. We survived hurrican Ike. It was my first hurricane and I really didn't like it. Our house is very well built and I didn't feel the wind. It was blowing 70 to 90 miles an hour for about 24 hours. Then there was the rain. It rained for 48 hours straight. I think we got 9 to 12 inches. We had a few trees down and lots of limbs but nothing really major. Johnny's sister who lives in the trailer in front of us had a tree go thru the side of the house. Luckily she was not a home. The trailer is a total loss.
After the hurricane, Morgan and I visited Rebecca and Phil in San Diego. We flew out on Thursday and came home on Monday. It was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed being close to the ocean. Rebecca and Phil apartment is only 2 blocks from the beach. We had a good time with Morgan on the beach. Got to see where Rebecca and phil work and meet a few of their friends. It was good to get back home though.
Johnny is still working on the outside of the new room. He just has a little trim work to do and then we will be ready to paint. We lack 3 pieces of Sheetrock on the inside. I hope we can get that done this weekend. Sandra and the boys are coming next week for Thanksgiving. The new room will be a good place for Morgan and Clay to play.
I am quilting on Kelley's quilt and hope to get it finished before the boys get here. I already have two more quilts in the planning stages. Hope to keep my blog updated more often.
